Privacy
Digital Code Art is created by Ulrich Frerk. Prints are sold, and your information is held, by UM Limited, a New Zealand company. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Browsing the gallery needs no account and sets no cookies. Our servers keep short technical logs for 30 to 90 days to run and secure the site, with email addresses masked. The pages load a typeface from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when they do.
- When you reserve a print, Stripe takes the deposit on its own checkout page; we never see or keep your card details. Stripe passes us your name, email, phone, shipping address and what you reserved, and we keep that with your reservation so we can quote framing and shipping and send your print.
- We email a confirmation of your reservation to you and to ourselves.
- If you email hello@digitalcodeart.app, we keep your message so we can reply.
Why
Only to run Digital Code Art for you: to take your reservation, to quote framing and shipping and send your print, to keep the site secure and to reply when you contact us. We keep the minimum the service needs.
Where it is kept
On Amazon Web Services in Australia (Sydney): the site, your reservation record, the confirmation emails and the logs all live there. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest. There is no account and no sign in. Card payments happen on Stripe's own checkout page, under Stripe's privacy policy.
What we never do
We don't sell your information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't train AI models on it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email hello@digitalcodeart.app and we'll reply within 20 working days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
